Prayer, Day 21

It’s a great day, Lord, and I count it all joy so I praise you. It can be overwhelming as I contemplate your majesty. No matter what comes my way, it’s you that will get me through. You are aware of every situation. You provide what I need. May my heart remain steadfast, immovable, always abounding in your works. You do not withhold good things from your children. I thank you for mercy and grace, your abounding love. I need you, your wisdom and peace, to know what to do today, to walk the straight and narrow. May my ears be quick to listen, as my heart will also, to your Word, and my mouth slow to speak, only what pleases you. Praise and glory to you, my Jesus!

Prayer, Day 18

Thank you for your goodness, Lord. I remind myself of what kind of spirit resides within me, one of power and love and a sound mind, that is discipline. So, I am not ashamed of the testimony of Christ Jesus. You have saved me with a holy calling, not according to my works, but according to your own purpose and grace. You abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, for which you teach me by even this very day. I know troubles and trials, but I also know love and joy. I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that you are able to guard what I have entrusted to you. I will keep your Words in the midst of my heart, in faith and love. I will guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in me, the treasure which I’ve been entrusted. Praise and glory to you, Lord Jesus!

Prayer, Day 9

I wake, Lord, to seek you and to hear your voice. Whatever I put my hand to do today, let it succeed and prosper. Your understanding and guidance are close, for it’s your Holy Spirit that directs me. Your wisdom comes from your Words, which I choose to meditate on; so may they come to my remembrance in great depth and intimacy. I draw you close as I know you draw me. I am forever grateful for your mercy and saving grace. My heart is to love as you have loved, to serve as you served. There is no greater love or service that I can give than to do as you have. You are my strength, my source for all I have need of. May my life be a blessing to you, Jesus Christ my Lord!
